Degree in Veterinary Medicine with Honours in 1987. From 1993 to 1995 attended a non-Conforming Residency Program in Neurology at the University of Berne, institute of Animal Neurology, and obtained the Diplomate status in Veterinary Neurology (ECVN) in Liege (Belgium) in September 1995. Presently he is responsible for the Neurology referral service at Valdinievole Veterinary Clinic, Pistoia, Italy.  Past-president of the European Society of Veterinary Neurology (ESVN), President of the Italian Society of Veterinary Neurology (SINVET). Past President of The Italian Society for Companion Animal (SCIVAC).

Author of publications concerning small animal neurology, he presented more than one hundred neurology lectures at national and international meetings. Special interests: Advanced Neuroimaging, Neurosurgery.
