Dr Baron Toaldo Marco graduated in veterinary medicine at the University of Bologna in 2007. He then completed a PhD and a post-doc in ultrasound in human and veterinary medicine, which ended in 2012.

From 2012 to 2016, he completed an alternative residency program in small animal cardiology at the University of Zurich and was awarded the title of Diplomate of the European College of Internal Medicine, Specialty Cardiology (ECVIM-CA cardiology) in March 2018. He worked as a researcher and professor of cardiology at the Department of Veterinary Medical Sciences of the University of Bologna. In 2020 he moved to the University of Zurich where is currently employed as chief of the Division of Veterinary Cardiology. He is the author of numerous publications on basic and applied research with a focus on veterinary cardiology topics.
