Biography
Ângela Martins is an accomplished veterinary professional with a degree from the Faculty of Veterinary Medicine of Lisbon since 1991 and a PhD in functional neurorehabilitation from the same faculty in 2023. She is a Diplomate of the European College of Sports Medicine and Rehabilitation in small animals (Dipl. ECVSMR) since 2023. Ângela is a pioneer, having founded the Arrábida Veterinary Hospital and the first Animal Functional Rehabilitation Center (CRAA) in Portugal. She is also founded the Lisbon Animal Rehabilitation and Regeneration Center (CR2AL) and the North Animal Rehabilitation and Regeneration Center (CR2AN). She is a guest professor at FMV -
Universidade Lusófona, where she also coordinates the veterinary nursing degree at IPLUSO.
Certified as a Canine Rehabilitation Practitioner (CCRP), Ângela is an instructor and examiner for CCRP certification. Her expertise in animal rehabilitation and emergencies is recognized internationally through speaking engagements and publications, demonstrating her significant contributions to the field of functional neurorehabilitation.
